- LOW IMPACT AEROBICS : A fun, easy-to-follow low impact aerobic workout. This class uses low impact aerobic combinations to keep you in your target heart rate zone. This is a cardiovascular workout that will burn calories and leave you feeling reenergized! C, B
- HI/LO AEROBICS : Choreographed patterns of both high and low impact aerobics will give you the ultimate calorie burning workout. Energetic music and movement will challenge and motivate you. C
- INTERMEDIATE STEP WITH SCULPTING INTERVALS: - This step class has intensity so you’ll get a great workout, but you won’t be frustrated with fancy, advanced choreography. Resistance training (body sculpting) strengthens your bones and sculpts your body. Please join us for a class that incorporates both of these elements which equals a great overall workout! C, S&C
- TURBOKICK: - is the revolutionary group exercise program that changed the face of kickboxing. Inspired by dance, tae kwon do, boxing, tai chi and funk. Turbokick also incorporates intervals of strength and toning. C
- CARDIO CONDITIONING WITH SCULPTING INTERVALS: Cardiovascular exercise improves your cardiovascular endurance and burns calories. Resistance training (body sculpting) strengthens your bones and sculpts your body. Please join us for a class that incorporates both of these elements which equals a great overall workout! C, S&C
- ZUMBA : Zumba is a hip swinging, booty shaking fun way to get a great workout! This class incorporates merengue, salsa, cha cha, cumbia, calypso, and rock & roll which will work your body and move your spirit. Dance your way to a fitter you, this class is taking the world by storm! Come and join us for an hour of fun and excitement, no previous dance experience is required, all levels are welcome. C
- AQUA ZUMBA-Known as the Zumba “pool party” the Aqua Zumba program gives new meaning to an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting, laughing hooting and hollering are often heard in an Aqua Zumba workout. Integrating the Zumba philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, the Aqua Zumba class blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water based workout that’s cardio conditioning, body toning, and most of all exhilarating beyond belief! - ZUMBA™ TOTAL BODY BLAST – Takes place the 1st Friday of each month, this 75 minute class combines Zumba with toning and sculpting to create a blast of a class. C, S&C
- ZUMBA TONING: This class takes the original Zumba dance-fitness class to the next level utilizing an innovative muscle training protocol and the addition of light weight toning sticks or dumbbells. Created to emphasize muscle work along with rhythms, this combination of cardio and dynamic resistive exercises is an effective use of progressive light weight training to improve overall performance. This class is assured to provide the participant with a safe and effective, re-defining total body workout! C, S&C
- ZUMBA®GOLD WITH ZUMBA®GOLD TONING (for Active Older Adults and Beginners): The spicy rhythms of a Zumba Gold class with strength conditioning Zumba Toning Sticks. This class is a fun, effective, full-body workout specifically created for the active older adult and beginner participant. Zumba Toning Sticks will be used for the final (15) minutes of the class before the cool down. Any active, healthy individual without a known history of cardio-respiratory conditions, hypertension, or joint injury may safely participate in the Zumba Gold Toning weighted workout portion of the class. - ZUMBATOMIC®: Is a fun and healthy program designed just for kids using the Zumba® concept. It is NOT a Zumba® kids class. It is ZumbAtomic® - a separate and unique program that was designed with specific methods, music, and programming specifically for chidren. Children will learn fitness dances, play fun motivational games, and learn new rhythms and styles of music and culture. All classes are taught to not only cultivate individuality and creativity, but to develop leadership, respect, team work, pride, confidence, and responsibility. C, Y
- ZUMBA GOLD: Zumba Gold is a class designed to take the exciting Latin and International dance rhythms from the original Zumba and bring them to the senior and beginner populations. This class will emphasize the basics. It is easy to follow, so any age and any fitness level can do it! This fun Latin dance program includes merengue, salsa, cha cha, cumbia, calypso, and rock & roll. This program is guaranteed to provide the participant with a safe and effective total body workout. - FITNESS DANCE: Total body fitness in this high energy, low impact workout incorporating, yet fun, dance based combinations. C
- FITNESS HOOPING: Hoop yourself healthy and happy! This class will include simple yoga based stretches using hoops. Introduction to hooping for fitness and fun and heart-healthy aerobics hula hoop jams. Prior experience is not needed, just a playful spirit. Hoops will be provided for class. C, SP
- POWER & POISE - Two things every person needs; power- the ability of an entity to control its environment and poise- an easy self assured manner. Bring both to your body in this one of a kind class that combines explosive plyometric drills and heart pounding cardio with the graceful and controlled movements of Pilates. Expect to work your whole body from tips to toes while incorporating balance drills. C, SP
- WOMEN ON WEIGHTS - Specifically designed for women interested in a weight training program with a group atmosphere. This program offers a full body workout that incorporates strength training, resistance training, and develop muscular tone. S&C
- SCULPT TONIC is unlike any sculpt workout you’ve ever done before! This class is a fun, empowering workout that blends easy-to-follow choreographed strength-training movement patterns with cardio power moves and bold, electrifying music. - CARDIO KICKBOXING: Jab and kick your way through this high energy workout! This class improves your cardiovascular fitness with high intensity cardio kickboxing combinations. Be prepared to sweat! Class ends with abdominal exercises. C
- LOWER BODY SCULPTING & CORE CONDITIONING – Strengthen, tone, and shape your lower body and abdominals. This class will have you coming back for more. A variety of equipment and exercises will be incorporates specifically to target your abdominals, legs, hips and thighs. S&C
- TREKKING – This class takes place in the fitness center using cardio equipment. Give yourself a challenging workout with superior calorie burning benefits. C
- WEEKEND WARRIOR – A 45 min Sunday morning class that involves cardio, step aerobics, sculpting, interval training, dance or mind body exercises. End your weekend with a super-sweaty safe and upbeat workout! C, S&C
- URBAN ADVENTURE: Come to this heart pumping class that is sure to be an adventure every time. You may be running, biking, kickboxing, doing cardio drills and strength training. You may be inside or outside. It is sure to be an adventure every class. C, S&C
- AWESOME ABS (15 min): Blast your abs with a 15 minute high intensity core workout. Great for any level. S&C
- AWESOME ABS (30min): A variety of core exercises to strengthen and tone abdominal muscles, then enjoy a long relaxing stretch to increase flexibility, reduce risk of injury and increase range of motion. S&C
- AGILITY TRAINING: An hour long class designed with all ability levels in mind. This class includes cardio drills and core strengthening for improved reaction time, balance, and physical fitness. Various agility training equipment will be used. C, S&C
- WORLD RHYTHM™: A fusion fitness workout that combines African, Middle Eastern, Latin and modern dance influences. Gain muscle control, flexibility, and cardiovascular endurance. This class is so much fun you will not realize how hard you are working. C
- DRUMS ALIVE®: This class is the most unique fitness program extravaganza to hit the market in years! It is different from every other workout you’ve tried before. Drums Alive® is a cardiovascular workout full of motivating music and drumming rhythms that will get your feet stomping and your body moving! C
- CARDIO PUMP: This class will get your heart pumping for a great cardiovascular workout while improving strength utilizing dumbbells, bodybars, resistance tubing or barbells. C, S&C
- BALANCE: This 30 minute class incorporates a variety of stability ball and floor exercises aimed to increase core strength and overall stability. AOA, B
- TURBO KICK : Turbokick is the revolutionary group exercise program that changed the face of kickboxing. Inspired by dance, tae kwon do, boxing, tai chi and funk. Turbokick also incorporates intervals of strength and toning. C
- INTERMEDIATE STEP: This step class has intensity so you’ll get a great workout, but you won’t be frustrated with fancy, advanced choreography. You will move around and over the step using moderately choreographed, intermediate level step patterns. C
- ADVANCED STEP: This step class will liven up your workouts! It builds both intensity and advanced level step combinations together to create a challenging, endurance workout. (Previous step experience is highly recommended for this class.) C
- INTRO TO BALANCE TRAINING: Class leads participants through a 30 minute workout with balance in mind. Participants will use various balance equipment to improve balance and core strength. Great for any age and ability. S&C
- BODY SCULPTING: An exercise program designed for both men and women of all fitness levels. Free weights, bands, tubes, balls and other resistance training props will be used to tone and strengthen the major muscle groups of the body, the end result being a firm, well defined body. S&C
- 20/20/20- 20 minutes of cardio, followed by 20 minutes of sculpting, finishing with 20 minutes of core work. C, S&C
- DYNAMIC FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH TRAINING: This class is modern day body sculpting at its best! Come and experience the latest method to improve your core strength, stability, posture, balance and coordination. Guaranteed to use and work every muscle in your body in ways that you never thought possible. Experience a whole new way to sculpt and tone your body. S&C
- BODY FLEX: This class is designed to promote muscular strength and endurance. Body Flex incorporates the science of resistance training through the use of a variable weight barbell. The benefits that you will receive from this system are increased bone density, improved body composition (less fat, more muscle), improved muscular strength and endurance and increased quality of life. Body Flex is appealing to men and women of all ages and fitness levels. It is easy to learn and easy to follow. S&C, B
- CORE STRENTH CONDITIONING w/CARDIO INTERVALS: Core strength exercises combined with cardiovascular intervals will challenge your body from head to toe. Sculpt your body and burn calories to the max, all rolled into one great, motivating class! C
- TOTAL BODY CIRCUIT: This athletic class combines cardiovascular exercise, resistance and core strength exercises in a circuit. You will do (5) minutes of heart pounding cardiovascular exercise, (2) minutes of upper body resistance training, (2) minutes of lower body resistance training, (2) minutes of abdominal exercises. You will repeat this circuit three or four times throughout the class. This class is a full body workout!! C, S&C
- F.I.T CAMP (Functional Interval Training): This class is a high intensity cardio/muscle conditioning course. It incorporates kick boxing, sports agility and military boot camp type moves. (Intermediate to advance fitness levels) C, S&C
- TABATA is a daring & dynamic conditioning experience. Tabata training is (20) seconds of high intensity training followed by (10) seconds of rest and then going back to (20) seconds of incredible effort and back to (10) seconds of rest, etc. You will do this cycle for (8) rounds or for (4) minutes total time. This is a Tabata interval. You will do (10-12) Tabata intervals in a one hour class. Tabata will increase your athletic performance, boost VO2Max, & decrease body fat. The Tabata Protocol is proven to physiologically transform your body. Tabata is great for both men and women. It is a higher intensity class mixing cardiovascular Tabatas with strength training Tabatas, please come prepared to work and sweat!! C, S&C
- AQUA TABATA - Discover a new way to workout in the water in this fun class that brings Tabata interval training to the pool. Tabata training is (20) seconds of high intensity training followed by (10) seconds of rest and repeat. You will do this cycle for (8) rounds or for (4) minutes total time. Tabata is designed to meet you at what your current fitness level is and help you get to your goal. C, S&C, AOA
- POWER SCULPT: A high intensity class with a focus on strength. Various weights will be used and participants are encouraged to push themselves to their individual fitness level. S&C
- CARDIO MEDLEY: (30 MINUTES) Come take a quick 30 minute, calorie burning, cardio class designed to get your heart pumping! We will present a variety of different cardio formats from week to week such as hi/low aerobics, athletic step with easy-to-follow choreography, kickboxing and athletic drills, all taught with easy-to-follow formats that everyone can enjoy. - SCULPTING w/ABS: (30 MINUTES) Join us for a result oriented, 30 minute body sculpting class. We will take you through a series of body toning exercises followed by ten minutes of abdominal work designed to sculpt your abs to the max! S&C, B

It’s easy on the joints and will burn calories and strengthen your heart and lungs. This class will also tone your muscles and strengthen your bones. You will leave feeling invigorated! AOA, C, S&C
- FIT OVER FIFTY: This class will get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. Simple steps to keep the feet moving to keep your heart and lungs in tip-top shape. C, AOA, B FOREVER STRONG: A sculpt class designed for seniors using resistance bands, tubing, and handweights to keep your muscles and bones strong! AOA, B, S&C
- SILVER SNEAKERS® MUSCULAR STRENGTH & RANGE OF MOVEMENT: This class offers something for everyone, regardless of fitness level, and can help improve overall strength and flexibility - helping you stay healthy and independent. As in other SilverSneakers classes, the instructor guides you through the exercises at your own pace. Chairs, Resistance tubing, balls and hand weights will be used. AOA, B, S&C
- BALANCE: Are you looking to improve your balance? This 30-minute class incorporates a variety of stability ball and floor exercises aimed to increase core strength and overall stability. Appropriate for all members who wish to improve their muscular endurance, flexibility, and balance.
- WALKING FOR WELLNESS: Led by a YMCA staff wellness coach, enjoy a leisurely walk for wellness in a fun group setting. Meet other members and make new friends while walking for wellness at the Guilderland YMCA. Group will walk outside on days weather is permitting.
- FOREVER FIT: A low impact, low intensity class using easy to follow aerobic exercises. Includes a great warm-up and cool down. AOA CHAIR AEROBICS: A class deigned for beginners but anyone is welcome. This class takes place from a seated position and uses light weights. AOA
- STRETCH & STRENGTH (for Active Older Adults): This class focuses on stretching in a chair to increase your range of motion and flexibility. We will also work on improving your muscular strength using different exercise props such as balls and bands. Class also incorporates relaxation techniques. MB, AOA

- YOGA: An intermediate level yoga class that will invigorate your body and reduce stress. You will experience traditional yoga poses, stretching, breathing and relaxation techniques which will improve your flexibility, balance, strength and overall wellness. MB
- ATHLETIC YOGA: A yoga strength/stretch class with an athletic twist to it. This class contains flowing athletic moves and yoga poses that will improve your strength, balance and flexibility. Get excited to experience and feel the strength, empowerment, and unity of mind and body that athletic yoga provides. (Prior yoga experience recommended but not required.) MB
- BEGINNER YOGA: Have you ever wanted to take a yoga class but felt too intimidated to try one? Banish all your feelings of intimidation and come to this class. We will guide you through a non-intimidating series of simple yoga posses and stretches. You will leave feeling empowered and ready to come back for more! MB, B
- CHAIR YOGA: Experience a yoga practice designed for those times in our lives when we are faced with physical challenges. Chairs and props will be used to assist each person in variations of postures that are appropriate to promote their comfort. - RESTORATIVE YOGA: Experience a yoga practice designed for those times in our lives when we are faced with physical or emotional challenges. Chairs and props will be used to assist each person in variations of postures that are appropriate to promote their comfort. - YOGA FOR KIDS (Ages 7-11): This is a yoga class designed for kids ages 7-11 years old. All movement will be taught in a fun and playful manner for children. Parents must sign children in and out with the instructor when they bring their children to the class. Y, MB
- MIND BODY MIX - This easy to follow yet challenging class follows a set sequence of exercise disciplines including tai chi, pilates and yoga. MB
- MIND AND BODY MOVEMENT: This class has it all; Cardio movement across the floor, core work and yoga postures. Explore weight, time, and space with lo impact cardio fitness, dance principles and postures to improve your overall health: cardio, core, strength, flexibility and balance. You will stand taller, feel stronger, & move more gracefully. No Dance experience Necessary.
- PILATES MAT: The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching and strengthening exercises. Pilates strengthens and tones muscles, improves posture, provides flexibility and balance, unites body and mind, and creates a more streamlined shape. This class will specifically focus on the Pilates mat work and will be taught on a mat. MB
- PILATES/YOGA FUSION: A combination of Pilates and Yoga movement/exercises fused together to form a complete mind/body workout. This class will increase your flexibility, posture, balance and core strength. All levels are welcome. MB
- BEGINNER PILATES MAT: A Pilates mat class for beginners. The instructor will carefully guide the participants through the basic Pilates mat exercises at a slower pace. We will show you how to modify the exercises to fit your individual needs. After you have mastered the beginner mat exercises you can move into the regular Pilates mat classes. MB, B
- T’AI CHI: This slow moving exercise system is based on the principles of traditional Chinese medicine and will enhance the mind, body, spirit connection. T’ai Chi has many health benefits which include increased coordination, flexibility, strength and balance. You will leave this class feeling refreshed and enlightened! SP, B, AOA
- NIA: Nia is a holistic fitness program that challenges your body, mind and spirit by fusing the martial arts, healing arts and dance. Set to diverse music, Nia provides a great cardiovascular workout and increases your strength, flexibility, mobility and agility. SP
- FAMILY YOGA: A yoga class designed for young and old. Family yoga offers a safe and gentle introduction to yoga for all age levels. Prior yoga experience is not required. MB
- MEDITATION: is an integral part of the yoga tradition. Our certified yoga instructor will guide you through the 1/2 meditation to help quiet your mind and prepare you for deepening your yoga practice. MB
- GENTLE YOGA (for Active Older Adults): This class is a gentler, modified yoga class for active older adults. We will guide you through simple/modified yoga posses and stretching catering specifically o the needs of the active older adult. MB, AOA

- AQUA KICKBOX: Bet you never thought you could work up a sweat in the water?! With this class you will! Come prepared to kick, jab and resist your way through the water with this high energy aqua kickbox class. - DEEP WATER AQUA AEROBICS: Traditional deep water aqua fitness moves will strengthen your cardiovascular system, improve your core strength and tone and sculpt your muscles. Aqua belts will be used to suspend and support the participant in the deep water. W, C
- SHALLOW WATER AQUA AEROBICS: Improve cardiovascular fitness, core strength, stability and flexibility, this is a cardiovascular aerobic class in the shallow water. W
- STRIDE AND STRENGTH: This class is a gentler class designed for beginners and seniors. Walk and resist your way thru the water for a gentle, yet invigorating workout. If you are looking to cultivate, maintain and improve physical range of motion, balance, stability, and strength for quality of movement in everyday life, then this class is for you! - AQUA TABATA - Discover a new way to workout in the water in this fun class that brings Tabata interval training to the pool. - FITSWIM: A real heart kicker! Test your endurance with this combo swim strokes and aqua aerobics moves. Fusion classes are becoming the future of water fitness. Combining strengthening and cardiovascular endurance as well as a great feeling of achievement to your workout! Intermediate to Advance (this workout can be modified to individual needs!)” W

- SPINNING/CYCLING: Spinning/Cycling is an indoor group exercise cycling class. You will Spin/cycle to motivating music as the instructor takes you on the ride of your life. It will challenge and strengthen your cardiovascular system to the fullest extent. Be prepared to work up a sweat in this class!! CYC
- 30 MINUTE SPIN/CYCLING: For those of you that are on the move and have limited time to spare, this class is for you! A (30) minute abbreviated version of our regular full hour Spinning/cycling class. CYC
- CYCLING AND STRENGTH HIGH INTENSITY INTERVALS - Get your body out of its steady state cardio rut and burn more calories AFTER your workout by doing high intensity intervals on and off the bike. This class gives a cardio workout as well as strengthens major muscle groups using a variety of resistance and strength training equipment with alternating bike and strength intervals. Wear sneakers rather than cycling shoes. CYC
- SPINNING/CYCLING FOR ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS: The first (15) minutes of this class is for bike set up for first time Spinners/cyclers. We will show you how to set up your bike for the ride. The last (45) minutes of this class is the actual ride. Once you know how to set up your bike you can come just for the ride. This class is specifically created for Active Older Adults. You will Spin/cycle to motivating music as the instructor guides you through the ride. This class will burn calories, strengthen your heart, lungs, legs, pelvic and back muscles at a gentle and safe pace. You will feel strong and invigorated when you leave! CYC, AOA, B
- LEARN TO SPIN/CYCLE: This is an instructional class for FIRST TIME Spinners/cyclers. Participants should only attend this class one time so they can learn how to set up their bike and situate their body on the bike. This class is specifically designed to introduce the set up and function of the bike to the participant. After taking this class the next step will be to take the “Beginner Spinning/Cycling” class. - SPIN/CYCLE FLEX: SPIN Flex is a combo class format that uses flex bands, tubing and dumbbells to train the major muscles groups, paying special attention to the upper body. Some experience with weight training is recommended. CYC
- BEGINNER SPINNING/CYCLING: This class is a (45) minute Spinning/cycling class for Beginners. After taking the “Learn to Spin/Cycle” class you will be ready to participate in this class. You will ride to motivating music at a beginner level. The instructor will guide you through the ride at an easy-to-follow pace. Participating in this class first will give you the confidence and endurance you will need to participate in our regular Spinning/cycling classes. Before long you will be a Spinning/cycling pro! - STRIDE AND STRENGTH: This class is a gentler class designed for beginners and seniors. Walk and resist your way thru the water for a gentle, yet invigorating workout. If you are looking to cultivate, maintain and improve physical range of motion, balance, stability, and strength for quality of movement in everyday life, then this class is for you! - LEARN TO SPIN/CYCLE: This is an instructional class for FIRST TIME Spinners/cyclers. Participants should only attend this class one time so they can learn how to set up their bike and situate their body on the bike. This class is specifically designed to introduce the set up and function of the bike to the participant. After taking this class the next step will be to take the “Beginner Spinning/Cycling” class. - BEGINNER SPINNING/CYCLING: This class is a (45) minute Spinning/cycling class for Beginners. After taking the “Learn to Spin/Cycle” class you will be ready to participate in this class. You will ride to motivating music at a beginner level. The instructor will guide you through the ride at an easy-to-follow pace. Participating in this class first will give you the confidence and endurance you will need to participate in our regular Spinning/cycling classes. Before long you will be a Spinning/cycling pro! - BEGINNER STEP: Did you always want to take a step class but were unsure if you would be able to keep up? Here’s a class that will teach you all the things you need to know about step aerobics without feeling lost and intimidated. We will take the time to teach you the basic step patterns at a slower pace. This class will prepare you so you can eventually take the regular step classes with confidence. C, B
