2008 Albany YMCA 5k & Walk

The Albany YMCA 5K Run and Walk began in 2006 to raise money for underprivileged children and families in the Albany community. This event is a 3 mile road race that begins and ends at the Lakehouse in Albany's Washington Park. The road race is open to ages 10 and up.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Capital District YMCA Annual Support Campaign, Reach Out for Youth.

To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

OUR FOCUS
The Capital District YMCA remains steadfast with its pledge not to ever turn away any child due to their inability to pay. In order to preserve this promise, we need your support. Supporting Reach Out for Youth will directly make it possible for kids and teens to grow in spirit, mind and body, as well as making their lives better. Through your participation in the Albany YMCA 5K Run and Walk, you will enable families and children to participate in YMCA programs that they may not have been able to pay for without the money raised through events such as this.

WHERE YOUR DOLLARS GO
All money raised through the Albany YMCA 5K Run and Walk will benefit the children and families of the Albany community so they may participate in YMCA Health and Wellness programs, including Child Care and After-school programs.
