YMCA Day Camp Offerings
Camp Sunset
Days: Monday - Friday
Times: 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM
Ages: K - 6th
Dates: June 30th - August 29th
This is an all day camp that is held at the Southern Saratoga YMCA. Each
week a different theme is planned and activities will focus on those themes.
Activities will include building relationships with their peers, camp
games, arts and crafts, sports and having fun with their counselors. Children
will participate in field trips as well as scheduled activities. On site
our indoor pool allows children to have daily pool activities. Certified
staff will lead these activities while certified lifeguards watch over
children for safety. For Camp Sunset children are placed in age appropriate
groups. This camp is open to any child entering kindergarten through 6th
grade.

Camp Sunrise
Days: Monday - Friday
Times: 9:00am - 12:00pm
Ages: K-5th
Dates: June 30th - August 29th
Camp Sunrise will give your child the opportunity to experience Y camp
without having to commit to the whole day. Their day will consist of camp
activities such as games, activities with their peers, songs, and crafts
that are built around the same theme's that full day camp will be using.
We will also be offering an aquatic portion to the half day program which
will consist of lessons, safety activities, games and building on core
values.
Children will be grouped by age and ability on the first day of their
scheduled swim time. Certified staff will lead these activities while
lifeguards watch over children for safety. This is a perfect opportunity
for those who might not need to have their child in full day camp but
want them to experience a Y camp.

Teen Camp
Days: Monday-Friday
Times: 7:15am - 6:00pm
Ages: 7th - 9th Grade
Dates: June 30th - August 29th
Calling all teens! Looking for something fun, adventurous and different
to do this summer with your friends? Come to the Y teen camp which has
a wide variety of activities to suit all interests. Weekly themes are
planned that will provide your teen with a different experience each week.
Three exciting day trips are being planned each week that could take your
teen tubing on the Battenkill, rock climbing at Electric City, or going
to our own Camp Chingachgook. These are just a few of the trips that will
take place.
Our new Teen center will also be available so the possibilities are endless
for what the teens will be doing this summer. Teens will also have the
opportunity to use the Y pool for free swim. This camp is open to children
entering grades 7th through 9th grade.

Counselor In Training
Days: Monday-Friday
Times: 7:15 AM - 6:00 PM
Ages: 14 and up
Dates: June 25th - August 31st
This fun & exciting program teaches the basic
elements of camp, counseling & leadership through hands on experience.
Being a CIT is a great way to gain self-confidence & leadership while
working with children under the supervision of an experienced counselor.
Acceptance is based on completed application and an interview with the
Camp Director. Teens interested in becoming CIT's MUST apply by May 31st.
Teens must be 14 before the start of camp to qualify for the program.
There are only a limited number of CIT's accepted! Teens not accepted
are encouraged to participate in our Teen Camp. Call Anthony Pizzo at
371-2139 EXT. 5550 to set up an interview with the Camp Director.
