Guilderland Childcare Offerings2 Year Old Nursery SchoolThis program is designed for children who are ready to explore new environments. The curriculum is based on the abilities of each child and allows them to build on large motor movement and enhance social skills. Children enjoy special craft activities, music and the development of gross and fine motor skills. Children must be the age of 2 by September 1st to be a part of this program. We have programs available at the Guilderland YMCA on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am to 10:30 am and at the Carman Road Alliance Church on Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-11am.Program StuctureCircle Time: greeting our friends, songs, practice counting, recognizing shapes and colors of the 4 core values (caring, respect, honesty and responsibility) and other verbal skills, letter, season and color recognition Fine Motor: arts and crafts, pencil practice, wooden puzzles, play-doe Gross Motor: dancing, mini trampoline, car and tricycle riding Snack: parents will be assigned different dates throughout the year to bring a snack and a drink for the class. 3 Year Old PreschoolThe pre-school curriculum includes music, arts and crafts, stories, cooking, free play, games inside and outside, creative movement, health and wellness and most of all FUN!!! In this program your child will: develop an awareness and acceptance to others, learn a sense of belonging and build self-esteem, be encouraged to interact socially, increase listening skills and much more! We have a 3 day program at Carman Road Alliance Church on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am-12pm and a 2 day program at the McKownville United Methodist Church on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30am-11:30am. All children who enter this program must be the age of 4 by December 1st. All children entering this program must be fully potty trained.Program StuctureCircle Time: greeting our friends, songs, practice counting, recognizing shapes and colors of the 4 core values (caring, respect, honesty and responsibility) and other verbal skills, letter, season, colors and name recognition, reading, calendar, weather, food groups Fine Motor: arts and crafts, puzzles, play-doe, letter/name practice, tying, writing, drawing Gross Motor: dancing, out door play, exercising, healthy me walks Snack: parents will be assigned different dates throughout the year to bring a snack and a drink for the class.
