Relaxation for Women Only
Women's Weekends
This is IT! Imagine a weekend with your best girl friends away from the
kids, laundry, cooking, and phone; where you meet other women and enjoy
plenty of recreation, entertainment, great food, scenery, and peace. And
you catch up on all that's been happening since the last time you could
sit uninterrupted with your friends. It's a special weekend devoted to
women's mental and physical health, working out, and relaxing as much
or as little as you want. Women's weekends run in late September, February,
and early June.
Accommodations
Adirondack-style cabins at the foot of Buck Mountain feature single and
bunk beds; just toss on your sleeping bag and pillow and you'll be set.
Modern bath facilities are a short walk from the cabins. The chef prepares
healthy, delicious meals, beginning with dinner the first day and ending
with lunch the last day.
Women's
Day Programs
Take the day, bring a friend, and come to meet new people on a great
all-day adventure. Enjoy a winter adventure outing, a day of snowshoeing,
learn to rock climb, challenge yourself on the high ropes course, or come
for a full day of kayaking or sailing on Lake George. Women's Day programs
begin at 9:00 a.m. Trained Chingachgook staff certified in wilderness
first aid lead the activities. We provide lunch, instruction, and the
necessary equipment to have a fun and safe outing.
Women's Specialty Weekends
Take a break from your everyday life. Two-to-four day adventures take
you into a magnificent wilderness, leaving your daily hum drum behind.
Bike in the Adirondacks or sail 24-foot sailboats on Lake George. All
trips and programs are lead by trained, mature, and confident staff certified
in wilderness first aid. We provide transportation from camp, food, instruction,
and equipment.
Mother-Daughter
Bring your mother or daughter to Camp Chingachgook for a special weekend.
Spend time together sailing, hiking, canoeing, making crafts, challenging
yourself on the ropes course, learning archery, and more. Imagine time
to play, learn new skills, talk, and relax together. Share this fun weekend
of play with your special girl at Chingachgook.
