Camp Objectives
Capital District YMCA Summer Camps provide an opportunity to:
- Have fun and adventure in a safe environment.
- Enhance individual character and moral development.
- Develop new skills and interest and have new experiences.
- Develop a respect for the nature world and work for its conservation.
- Develop new friendships and social skills and learn about team work
and group responsibility.
- Develop an appreciation of self-worth and self-expression.
- Develop a sense of cultural appreciation and work for worldwide understanding.
Camping Philosophy
The YMCA strives to deliver high quality camping programs that will provide
participants with the "Experience of a Lifetime: in a safe, educational,
and fun environment."

What to Wear and Bring
Dress your child in classic camp uniform: t-shirt, shorts an sneakers.
Your child should also bring:
- A warm layer such as a jacket or sweatshirt
- Bathing Suit with Towel
- Suncreen
- Water Bottle
- Baseball Cap
- Backpack
- Lunch (non-perishable foods) and extra snacks
- Postive attitude & a smile
Please be sure to label your child's name on all items.
