Black History Month

Black History Month is an opportunity to learn more about the contributions of people of African descent to our world.  African Americans have been full participants in the formation and growth of our United States and their contributions have not been fully included in the lexicon of our culture.  Black History month has helped to educate all and make our society more inclusive and appreciative.

Over the next few weeks we will be showcasing some influential African Americans.  Stay tuned to this page for more about Black History Month and the Capital District YMCA's Black & Latino Achievers.

    now that WE are snrtaitg to wake up COLOR DOESNT MATTER . BUT color matters when we faced and face injustices for over 400 years b/c of color. let us have our world back stop hating!

    You would not be the first porsen to attempt something like that, but if you want to improve the lot of the poor in Africa help them to get rid of their rotten corrupt governments.

    Operating word here is sulohd . Lots of things sulohd not be an issue .yet they are. The reality is we live in a race conscious society, period. If we didn't we wouldn't be having these conversations at all because they wouldn't be necessary:-)
